Try Out Strange Food Combinations

Time

Examples of food

  • French fries + ice cream
  • Popcorn + ketchup
  • Honey + pizza
  • Olive oil + ice cream

Steps

Sometimes, when you feel low or stressed up with the overwhelming thoughts and voices, you may want to try some of these food combinations as a temporary distraction. They may seem strange but could end up being your comfort food. However, do so moderately as it is not advisable to go overboard.

What Does It Do

It may sound queer but definitely worth a try. When you pop these food into your mouth, you may feel an explosion of unfamiliar taste. This might take your mind off the train of thoughts that is bothering you at that moment. Moreover, it is interesting to challenge yourself to new types of tastes and sensations. Every new attempt at food combinations is a self-challenge. Who knows you may even acquire a liking to such food.

How I Feel After Doing It

I sometimes try strange combination of food when I feel down or depressed. As my stomach rumbles, I hunt for such food in the refrigerator. Not only does it satisfy my taste buds, it surely helps to distract me momentarily from the negative symptoms I am having at that time. Give it a try and experiment with different food combinations. Do it once in a while to your liking as you never know what taste you may discover.
