Sit on my Happy Chair

Time

Do it anytime you feel like it, especially when you are upset or feeling down. 

What To Do

Buy yourself a comfortable armchair that you like, together with a footstool. Get a soft blanket too. Whenever you feel the need, sit on this armchair and cover yourself with the blanket. Play some soothing background music, close your eyes and just relax. You may do some breathing exercises to release your emotions.

What Does It Do

Make yourself as comfortable as possible so that you can ride through your happy or sad moments while lounging on the chair. Read a book if you feel like it. Try to recall your happy moments too and let them bring a smile to your face. Make the chair your safe space in troubled times.

How I Feel After Doing It

As I plonked down onto the seat of my favourite wing chair, I reminisced about the events I went through during this decade of my journey. My struggles, pain, progression, growth and happiness. I spend time here writing in my journal too. Every single tear I shed and smile I showed were sometimes experienced while covered with a blanket, snuggling on my chair.
