Tools

A safe space for yourself

What To Do

When you are having anxiety or the feelings of paranoia creeps up, try doing some meditation. You may download the app “Insight Timer” and follow some of their guided meditations. Practise some of the free meditation exercises as per instructed by the licensed meditation practitioners. There are many types of guided meditations for your needs ranging from coping with anxiety, managing stress, improving sleep, mindfulness at work to boosting self-esteem, just to name a few.

What Does It Do

Meditation practices that are done consistently will help you feel calmer and more at ease. Once you are calm, you can then proceed to carry on with your daily tasks more effectively and efficiently. It also helps you to focus much better. As your mind will not be affected by complex thoughts as much, you will also be able to manage your feelings better. It is said to be very beneficial to those with paranoia and anxiety. Those who have practising meditation for years is said to be very grounded and able to remain present. A calm mind and heart can make you stoic and in turn, you will be better at managing your feelings and condition.

How I Feel After Doing It

I have tried practicing guided meditation several times but have not gotten into the habit of doing it daily. However, when I do, my heart feels lighter and my mind becomes clearer after each session. I could feel a slight relief as my mind will not be clouded by so much complicated and burdening thoughts.
